Scope and usage

The kl-gateway-119-focus-condition holds a diagnosiscode, as it is reported to the municipality in the request (XREF15) for prevention/health promotion from a Hospital or General practitioner using SKS (ICD10), ICPC2 or text.

Each of the codes Henvisningsdiagnosen_i_kode and tillaegsdiagnose_01_i_kode from XREF15 should typically each result in its own instance of kl-gateway-119-focus-condition. The one exception is described in the following:

In FHIR each ‘whole meaning’ should have its own instance of kl-gateway-119-focus-condition. A ‘whole meaning’ may be a single diagnosis code OR a diagnosis code with add-on-codes (tillægskoder) e.g. DK257+MN02BA01 means that a hospital patient has a chronic ulcer caused by the intake of acetylsalicylacid. They are a ‘whole meaning’ because the codes would loose their meaning if represented in two different focus-condition instanses. The code should be represented in Condition.code. Be aware that the only add-on codes that should be represented this way is where Henvisnings_tillaegsdiagnosekodes_type attribute of XREF15 equals ‘tillaegsdiagnose’.

It is not very common yet that SKS or ICPC2 codes are send to the municipality, as a result a text can be used to represent the condition as well, in this case the attribute Henvisningsdiagnosekodens_t ype/Henvisnings_tillaegs_diagnosens_art equals ‘uspecificeretkode’ or no value is given. In this case, populate Condition.code.text with the content of Henvisningsdiagnosens_betydning_eller_fri_tekst/Henvisnings_tillaegsdiagnose_i_tekst.

Condition.clinicalStatus should be populated with the value ‘active’ if the citizen has the condition, and ‘inactive’ if the citizen no longer has the condition. Condition.verificationStatus should be able to ditiguish between ‘confirmed’ and ‘entered-in-error’. It is a good idea to always provide the verificationStatus. If not populated, the verificationStatus is assumed to be “confirmed”.
